Calligraphy and Florals- A hands on workshop.

Have fun learning the basic strokes that make up the beautiful Italic calligraphic hand from Sheila Monahan, fellow garden club member and professional calligrapher. 

Broad edge calligraphy pens and markers also make easy leaves and flowers to decorate your writing.

About the Speaker

Sheila fell in love with calligraphy when her 8th grade art teacher gave her a broad-edged marker and a book. From friends’ wedding invites to custom commissioned art pieces, she loves to continue to learn  and spread the joy of letters. She is currently a Board member of NYC Society of Scribes and member of IAMPETH.

This program will take place in the Sycamore Church at 32 Sycamore Ave, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423. The program will begin promptly at 7:30. If you would like to enjoy some early refreshments and mingle before the event, please arrive at 7:15. After the conclusion of this presentation, there will be another opportunity to socialize with members and to enjoy refreshments. A meeting for Hohokus Garden Club members will follow.
