Creating a Season-Long Perennial Garden (This program is open and free to the public)

A beautiful perennial garden doesn't have to peak for just a few weeks each year. Learn how to create continuous interest from the first signs of spring well into winter by combining perennials with staggered bloom times, colorful foliage, attractive seed heads, and other ornamental features. We'll explore outstanding varieties in chronological order through the growing season, helping you build a landscape that always has something to celebrate. 

About the Speaker

Laura Robles is a seasoned horticulture expert with over 25 years of diverse industry experience.  In her current role as a Regional Product Manager for Walters Gardens, Inc. in Zeeland, MI, Robles oversees sales in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.  Armed with degrees from Cornell University and Michigan State University in Natural Resources and Horticulture respectively, Laura’s expertise spans retail, landscape, public gardening, growing and research. Gardening is of course a primary hobby, and her garden currently contains around 600 different varieties of bulbs, perennials, shrubs and trees; including more than 200 cultivars of Hosta. 

This program will take place in the Sycamore Church at 32 Sycamore Ave, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423. The program will begin promptly at 7:30. If you would like to enjoy some early refreshments and mingle before the event, please arrive at 7:15. After the conclusion of this presentation, there will be another opportunity to socialize with members and to enjoy refreshments. A meeting for Hohokus Garden Club members will follow.
